I like a guy I can't date

This is going to sound incredibly stupid. I met someone online, lives in australia but I''m in the UK. before anyone starts with the "edating" crap that's exactly why I'm making this post. We voice chat hours and hours on end and we've video called before. All day I spend talking to him. He told me he likes me, he wants a relationship. Truthfully I like him so incredibly much too, I've never felt this way. I have to reject him, because I don't think a relationship liek this is bound to work out. As much as I want to be with him he's too far away and I can't deal with a purely online relationship. And it makes me so sad and my heart hurts because all I want is for him to be closer.
