How do you boost your self confidence and be less insecure when the people around you that mean something want to tear you down and cause you to wonder if your the problem and that’s why life feels this way? Toxic behaviors towards me are justified and rewarded in my life. But I’m being labeled as the one that needs help. Everyone else is perfect they feel .

@DogMom1986 I know about this well, as I struggle with my own external self-image & insecurities. However, one thing about me, I don't seek or care about external validation. The only opinion that matters is my own. I don't care if the world hates me, talks bad about me, judges me, spreads rumours about me, etc. I simply don't care what anyone else thinks of me. The people that you're around that treat you this way are just envious/jealous of you, and are trying everything to break you down, but you can't let them win. They know it bothers you, so they continuously prey upon you. That's what toxic people do. They feel better by bullying and bringing others down, because it's suits their purpose. There's nothing worse than a bully as it can cause severe & everlasting damage to ourselves, but that's the fuel that they want from you. They know it bothers you, so they continue. Once you stop caring and letting their responses get to you, the less they'll do it. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Live your life for yourself, and you be the judge of yourself. Look in the mirror and tell yourself what an amazing person you are, inside & out. Trust me, I struggle with my own issues but also working on myself daily to fix them. Everything I'm telling you to do, I've done and still continuing to do. It's not easy in the least, because we look at ourselves as "flawed" instead of "human". I will you that I'm a work in progress, beautifully flawed, a beautiful disaster, and I embrace all of it. I'm still working on myself to be better than I am now, but that takes time. It's worse when your own family tells you awful, toxic, and negative things. I'd distance myself from them if you're safely able to, but don't listen to what they tell you. Try to ignore and banish the negative words. Try to hold your head high and act like their words do nothing to you. Let them talk, let them hate, and show no reaction or emotion to it. It'll make you take your own power back and not let others have that much power & control over you, as well as you'll feel different inside. I hope this helps!

I try to focus on my strengths mainly but actually admitting my flaws to myself or others gives it less power.

I've also tried to surround myself with respectful people, who are not bigging themselves up by putting me down, if you have to do that, how confident are you really??

I'm not suggesting you do this but cutting negative people out was exhilarating. I didn't how tense and insecure they made me, until they were not given any attention.

Confidence wise, find something you're really good at and makes you happy and that will boost you in so many ways :)

It’s hard it’s my family . And they have told me they regret me. They become friends with the abusers I’ve had and justify actual abuse . The other one is somebody I’ve worked hard to have back in my life and now I basically have a place to go but it’s definitely not my home anymore I’m trying to move but with 2 dogs and no credit score I’m screwed and truly feel moving isn’t going to stop it due to the one person. And hey it’s he says she says when I say it and I just feel worthless and hopeless nowadays . I mean it suxks but I wouldn’t wanna be around me either at this point

I find that when people do this it is a reflection on them. Usually a few of these "perfect" people are the loudest. There are a lot more people who are a quiet majority who reject this negativity, you just might not hear or see them as readily. Hang in there! 🤗 Hugs

@DogMom1986

You don't deserve any labels. Absolutely not. You're a person who's struggling with a lot of pain. That's not bad, it's important and deserves to be talked about in the right way. The words from people around us hurt, especially when they mean so much to us. But their words aren't the absolute truth. They don't define who we are. You aren't the problem. Absolutely not. People around us shouldn't want to tear us down. They can share their opinions or even criticize us, but only to help us grow. If someone's intention is to tear us down, they don't belong in our life. I know you feel overwhelmed and maybe even angry. That's fine,you have every right to feel that way. Confidence starts with us, not others. Others can influence us, sure, but if we are our own support, no one can tear us down. I know it's not easy, but trust me, you don't have to go through this alone. You see a lot of injustice in this life, and you even live it. That's a lot for one person. There's no shame in sharing it with others. Sometimes more hands can build a new road faster and better than just one❤️
