My experience so far

I've been quite comfortable in this app and met some good listeners along the way that gave tips, supports me, I also see some of the moderators here are also active and try their best to keep active in multiple groups, I also see And joined heather accountability buddies for a month, I forgot he name, but I see the effort of the higher ups in here and the care, time, love that they have for this app and the people in it. So I decided to try the therapy in this app because my anxiety was bad and I was so overwhelmed, empty, lonely and feels really disconnected, I thought it's time maybe I try therapy, and I automatically choose this app with high expectations and of course it's because I was quite comfortable in here all this time for free.

My first therapist was quite engaging, replying quickly and seemed to have some care about my problems, but since it was my first time I'm going to therapy and idk how it works, Im just curiously switching through the therapist to see who's available in the lists, then I got banned from changing therapist again perhaps because I was clicking too much, then I'm stuck with a therapist that just didn't click with me and maybe didn't care at all about me, I think we only chatted about 5 chats total and then I just get tired of that person because she just didn't care, then I'm contacting the email support of 7 cups to make the switching buttons available again and tell them the reason i click that switch button couple of times is just to see who is available as a therapist in this app, but the support reply to me about 3 days after I sent an email, and then the final solution was they choose a therapist for me that they think will suit me and it took almost a week for this process to be happened, I talk to the new therapist for a day, and then we just run out of topic, and then thats it. I wasn't even have the energy or bother to to contact the support email again. I was only using a total of maybe 2 weeks on the therapy that I paid for a month in this app and it doesn't even help me at all, just some talks from the first therapist is quite good because she asked about my childhood, etc. But it doesn't helped me at all, really disappointed. I understand that the price of the online therapy is cheaper than what those therapist made by doing it on their own office offline, but many of us isn't rich and even the sum of money I paid for online therapy in this app is quite expensive for me, really disappointed with what I get.

I just want to give a shout out, an appreciation to all of the volunteers, moderators, listeners who really contributes their time, energy and make a real effort and care about people and want to make some changes. I know many of them try to be active in this app everyday and making some serious efforts in here, these people are more helpful and have more impact to me than the 1 month online therapy that I tried last month. Thank you for making 7 cups accessible for everyone for free!

I have a suggestion perhaps adding an online video or voice call meetings that talks about various topics to make this app more impactful and engaging.

If you can remember a name of an earlier therapist who you liked, maybe you'll be allowed to get in touch with them again.  I think there's a pretty high risk that therapists who've chatted with someone, only to have them "click away," may feel discouraged, or as though they might've said something that a person felt offended by.

Often it takes several sessions before a patient and therapist can establish a comfortable and productive relationship. Sometimes a person who initially may seem less than ideal may end up being the perfect person for a patient.

Yeah the first therapist was quick to respond and just quite passionate person and seem to care about my troubles, but there is some words that I didn't quite like so I tried to check on other therapist here and have an high expectation in my mind that the other therapist will be similar like her in replying time, empathy and care, turns out they are far more worse. Anyway my subscription has been ended last month in this app with only using about 1 weeks of it, I wanted to ask refund but I'm just tired by how slow the customer service reply on email. I really loved the free version of this app and many people who volunteers on this app, but the paid online therapy is bad and it's just isn't for me.
