I was diagnosed with obsesive compulsive disorder a year ago. It was hatd to diagnose because i don'r have the most common symptomes like oveewashing hands.

For me, it started with compulsive eating. I would eat over 4000 calories in a day. I gained 8 kg, but i was already thin. In fact, i am still slim, but i've gained visceral fat and mucj belly fat wich is hard to loose because i can t diet because of healt problems.

What are my symptoms?

For example, right now i deal with compulsive body checking and trying clothes. I can stay for hours looling in the mirror and i ussualy find things i don t like. I am a erson who bloats a lot for hours and in the mirros it s visible. I also can't leave my home before i go to bathroom or if i have number 2 in my digestive track because my belly would look bloated. This is very hard and it's giving me a lot of stress. If i don t like the way i look, ky day is ruined. I also tend to check my body often and if i find it bloated i feel worse. I also wear pulls eveb if it s mid summer and i have a single pair of pants i go out with. The oyhers don t fit my body, wirh slim legs and round belly. I don t go to school, i don t have friends...i obsess over controling little things in my life and my family. It s hard. If only i hadn t overeat or be so sensible to food and bloating...

Is anybody in my situation?

@quietPond5678 Hello Pond, and thank you for sharing your experience of living with OCDs. I'm sorry to hear of your struggles with this; you've mentioned that you now don't attend school, not do you have friends - OCDs can be very life-limiting. You've discussed your preoccupation with how your body looks and spend hours checking your appearance, which seem to be compounding your obsessionality. I'm glad that you've felt able to reach out to us on the forums, we also have teen listeners available for you to chat with. I'm hoping you can find a way through this Pond, and please know that we're here for you.
