Need an advice
Hey it's my first time using the app and there's something I feel really guilty about
There's this girl classmate of mine there's no relationship between us she made it clear but we talk every day 24h for almost a year , her bd came and I wanted to get her something nice, I reached out to her best friend to help choose a gift (I don't know the best friend directly but the first girl Talk about me a lot with her and we send eo reels via the first girl)
I chose the gift they were Lego flowers I bought them everything is fine then the best friend told me you can send reels directly to me no need to send them through the other one and she added me and we started sending eo reels, I didn't really gave it a thought since I'm not doing anything wrong, after a month the best friend told her we're on contact, the girl exploded started calling me a liar disgusting doing things behind her back, I explained that my intentions are pure and apologized she didn't listen after that I apologized again with a hand written letter and made her a drawing too (I'm an artist) she still told me I used her as an excuse to get to her best friend which I absolutely didn't
I tried asking mutual friends to fix it and it's the same she don't wanna talk to me ever again she still follows me in every app no unfollow no block but there's no contact she said we're not friends anymore cause I hurt her
It's been a full month and I feel really guilty , what should I do? How can I actually make up for it ? We're on summer vacation now we'll get back to class by a month
@waaa
When someone imagines wrongdoing of another, it's not the other person's fault. The other person has no reason to feel guilty.
It's happened to me, and despite there being no reason for it, I also felt guilty. I think that happens to people who have for one reason or another, have a pattern of accepting blame that they have no reason to.
The problem is in her mind, or maybe more accurately, her false perception she believes to be real.
Another possibility is that she enjoys getting others to feel guilty. Often this occurs when a person enjoys the attention and efforts made to "make it up to them."
It's very common that suspicions and accusations are "projections" of one's own character. For example, one who steals is likely to accuse others of stealing. Or, one with a jealous nature is likely to "see" jealousy in another person, even though the other person is not at all jealous. Instead, the jealous person is only seeing a reflection of themselves while believing they're seeing the other person's jealousy.
That she hasn't blocked you makes me question how convinced she is that you actually did something wrong.
Keep in mind, she may be totally unaware of where her suspicions orginated or why she's feeling the way she does, so she may feel justified in treating you as she has, even though there's no justice in her actions.
I hope the situation leads to greater wisdom and peace for both of you.
Keep your chin up—you have nothing to be ashamed of. You acted with good intentions, helped pick out a thoughtful gift, and shared reels harmlessly. You didn't deceive anyone.
You’ve already cleared the air, explained yourself, and apologized. If she is still labeling you with harsh words despite your honesty, that reflects her reaction, not your character. You cannot control how someone chooses to perceive a situation after you've been upfront with them.
Don't compromise your self-respect trying to prove your innocence to someone who isn't willing to listen. Step back, maintain your dignity, and focus your energy on people who trust and value your good intent.
