Not sure what to do

Their is someone that knows someone I want to talk to, and I asked them as nicely as possible if they can help me talk to the person I would like to talk to. When I asked them I never said who specifically I just asked for help, and they responded with "I know." And then I said "you know?" And then they went back on one of my older messages showing me they know who I want to talk to so all I said was "I see." And nothing else has happened since and that was 4 days ago. I dont know what to do.
