Replacement

October 22nd, 2022

If you can't fix or repair something, what do you do? You replace it

I hear a lot about "healing" but some things can't be healed or it's not worth the time and effort.

If you are tired of trying over and over to heal yourself, then why not consider replacing yourself? Become someone else, instead. You might not be who you think you are. You have to let go of that and become someone new. Who is that person? You don't know. You only know that the old person can't continue, therefore they must be replaced by someone who can effectively live in this world

That's an interesting perspective - allows someone to re-imagine possibilities!

Thank you for making me think! I am always trying to make myself a better person by being self-aware and changing the things I did not like. But fairly recently, due to many strokes and aneurysms, I have become almost a totally different person that I am not particularly happy with. I keep trying to get back to who I was but I'm not sure that's going to happen. I'm getting closer so I haven't given up, but there are a few things I may have no control over. No amount of effort will make my eyesight come back But there is still hope neuroplasticity will. And I do exercise my eyes. That is one thing that has changed a lot about my life. Maybe I need to start reimagining this new person.
