Second thoughts on getting some help from others/ rant
Introducing myself. I'm 26 years old. Filipino. Lives in the Philippines. Lives with my parents and an eldest brother. Not sure if I understand better of what people are saying so don't expect what I about to say about my family is fully true or maybe not true.
My family's advice made me have second thoughts on getting some help from others because people(even my relatives) will be not sure on how to handle me and my disorder(I'm still need another second opinion because I have different diagnosis from 4 psychiatrists) and they still don't know who I am. I only choose 7cups because maybe somehow it has an evidence that I can trust 7cups to help me and to able to talk about my problems. I really need help from others but I don't know how. I just feel I don't trust my family anymore for little reason whatever they trying to say because truth hurts(am I sensitive?) and I don't know the other reasons why. My mother told me to trust my brother because he's a doctor and he knows everything than I am like my parents, so what my mother said is the example that made me have doubts of getting some help from others about my problems including about my family.
So, is it true that that I can trust 7cups? What kind of people I can trust to talk to about my problems? My second thoughts disturbs me 😔

Thank you for opening up and sharing your story with me. It sounds like you’re really going through a lot right now, especially with the confusion around your diagnosis and not feeling fully understood or supported by your family. That must be really tough to handle.
It’s completely normal to have doubts about who to trust, especially when advice from family makes you question seeking outside help. 7cups is designed to offer a safe space where you can talk openly and be heard by trained listeners or peers who care. While 7cups isn’t a replacement for professional medical advice, it can be a good place to share your feelings and get emotional support.
When it comes to trusting people with your problems, it’s okay to be cautious. You might want to look for people who listen without judging, who respect your feelings, and who don’t try to force their opinions on you. Sometimes, people like trained listeners, counselors, or support groups can be good options because they are there to support you, not to judge.
If you’re feeling sensitive, that’s okay too. Your feelings are valid, and it’s important to take care of yourself. If you ever feel unsure or overwhelmed, it’s okay to take your time and only share what you’re comfortable with. I’m here to listen whenever you need to talk.
@mono101 It takes a lot of courage to speak honestly about these thoughts and feelings, especially when you're unsure who to trust or how to even begin asking for help. I'm really glad you're here. Also, it’s completely okay to have doubts, especially when you’ve had different experiences, mixed advice and feel unsure who to trust.
While 7 Cups isn’t a replacement for professional help, it is a place where you can share your thoughts without judgment and where people want to listen and support you. That trust can be built slowly, at your own pace.
