Social Skills
I'm doing a quick survery just to see something,
Do you think social skills are innate behavior in humans? if so, why? and if not, then why?
I'd love to hear everyone's reasoning
@feefus
No, social skills aren't just something we're born with. It's a mix of natural tendencies and learned behaviors. Sure, we're wired to be social creatures, with instincts like recognizing faces and basic communication skills. But the real deal, the complex social skills we need to thrive, those are learned. Think about it. We grow up watching and imitating others, picking up on social norms, communication styles, and empathy along the way. Our environment and culture also shape how we interact with others. Different societies have different expectations and values when it comes to social behavior, so that plays a big role too. Yes, some folks might have a head start with certain social traits, like being outgoing or understanding others' emotions. But everyone can improve their social skills through practice, feedback, and being intentional about it.
