Trigger warning ( my pet flwed away)

Our parrot "patu" ran away today when my bro was picking him up from his cage.

He was a green ring-necked parakeet... I know we were kepting him in a cage etc but we growed him up & feeded him

He was familiar with us and we knew if we would sent him to the nature he would probably not survive for a while because his wing was damaged before and now that it was healed, he wasn't able to fly for a long time.

This evening we saw him sitting on a tree branch but very far from our house. Hearing his voice was nice... But also saddening...

I just miss him so much, I used to hug him and at times he would sleep on my shoulder..

He loved fruits... He used to even peel strawberries or grapes...

I don't know why I'm giving this unnecessary information... I mean thankfully he is even alive, just meters away... I wish he would come back like our other parrot, she's a blue love bird... She returned to us the day after she flewd away...

I know some of my grammar were awful but I just feel I'm not ok to care about that and I apologize for that...

I miss you patu, you were a great friend of mine... For around whole 2 years.. please come back and stay with us again...

@NobleSeeker I am so sorry you are going through this and hope that you will be okay soon. Losing a pet is hard, but because you saw him nearby, still a good chance you can bring him home. Since his flight is limited due to his previous wing injury, he likely cannot travel very far or high, meaning he is probably resting in that same tree or one very close to it for the night. Parrots usually stay put after dark, so your best chance to recover him will be at dawn. I hope you will be okay soon. 🤗

@NobleSeeker I'm so sorry to hear about Patu. I've never had a pet bird before but they're so lovely. So colorful and lively.

Would putting his cage outside with the cage door open and his favorite treats inside help, maybe if he heard or saw you putting the treats inside? Maybe if he heard the little love bird singing it would make him come closer? (I'm just making guesses)

I hope he does come back to you Noble 💙 Sending you and Patu good vibes and best wishes for his safe return!
