The one relationship that broke me forever

I keep thinking of that one relationship that changed my life for the worse. I had never loved anyone as much as I loved her, I would have gone to war for her . I basically worshipped her that is how much I loved her . But she broke me , abused and emasculated me beyond belief. The funniest part is even with all the abuse and insults, I still love her and forgave her. However I’m a broken man for life , I don’t think I can ever love again that’s for sure !!! I’m a shadow of myself and even I wouldn’t like to be in my own company.

You don't know that, love is weird. It happens when you least expect it. First, try to start loving yourself again, you can do that :). If you need to talk I'm here

Thanks my friend @Theother172 , honestly I’m over the whole love thing . My worry is I hope I’m healed when I start having kids to love them as much as I want to .

Im currently in a new relationship. My current boyfriend is honest, loyal, he treats me perfectly. But my past relationship trauma comes from a dude who was very abusive, manipulative, a pathological lier, and a cheater. So I’m letting all of that past trauma ruin my current relationship. And am now beginning my journey towards healing and learning that the past is the past. And not everyone will harm you. You have to believe that, you have to put yourself in the position to believe that. And once you believe in that you will believe in love again. But people are not the same, so you have to first believe that there’s always someone better and that you deserve someone better because of the good person you are!

Hey, Honestly love is a weird thing, one day when you least expect it it will be amazing until that time, start to heal, put yourself first, love yourself and enjoy life.

If you're hurting in a relationship, remember: True love doesn’t hurt. You shouldn’t have to fight for your worth or feel unappreciated.

Know your value – You deserve respect and happiness.

Don’t be afraid to walk away – It’s better to be alone than with someone who makes you suffer.

Don’t blame yourself – Leaving isn’t failure; it’s choosing your peace.

Take care of yourself – Seek support, do what makes you happy, and love yourself first.

Keep your heart open – The right person will love you without conditions, but start by loving yourself.

Don’t let today’s pain decide your future happiness. You deserve real love!

@tealKiwi2767 I am so sorry you are going through this. This sounds really tough and cruel situation. The way you described that you love her, she must be the luckiest woman on earth. It's really a mystery to me that why people behave this way and cannot realize that they are so blessed to have someone who love them this much.

Hey buddy, I'm so sorry you're so broken and hurt. I've been replying and trying to help you with various other posts of yours, if you remember. It's heart wrenching to see someone who loves so deeply and the other person abuses and brushes off like nothing happened. I don't know how to console you brother because I'm short of words. You're a beautiful soul worthy of a complete love and the person who abused you doesn't deserve so much attention, love and to be put up on a pedestal. You're draining all your energy on this person who is inhuman because I somewhat know that she was narcissistic and abusive in various ways.

Please tell me the reason why you love her? What traits of that person makes you see her like a God? To fall in love, a person needs to know the other person. So what did you find in her so special that you're unable to find elsewhere? Was this your first love? If so this is deep attachment. Also narcissists create trauma bond in victims that is deeper than the attachments in any other normal relationships.

You need external help as you are unable to help yourself by using online resources. Therepy is the first solution. Also please join a yoga class. Yoga and meditation has helped people who had substance abuse, ppl like Robert Downey Jr., to completely come out of substance addiction. Yours is a similar addiction to the abusive person who will abuse you even if you two get back. So you're kind of addicted to the dopamine rush of love bombing and abuse and again sudden rush of dopamine by love bombing. Please take yoga classes specifically which has meditation in it. You have to go to therepy as well. But again this comes with a choice as you'll have to do this daily consistently. Please ask someone to push you to do these things and keep a check on you to attend classes and therepy.

I believe that you will recover soon to experience the beautiful life that is waiting for you. It's just a choice away. It's like you've become very obese and now have to work at the gym. It will feel very tough but you gotta lose weight to save your life. So you hustle and hustle consistently, every damn day. ONE DAY AT A TIME. You surely got this!

@tealKiwi2767 i hope u read till the end , ur an actual man , a man who would fight for his woman , is a real man , it is cuz u have a big heart , i didn't like the part worshipped her , cuz she still is a human , but i get what u overall mean , i will maybe say something small but any questions please please don't hesitate, anything ,so what i want to say is don't let anyone or anything turn u cold , u got a good heart , and that is a gift , In my faith, we believe that love should be built on something pure and lasting, not just emotions or attachment am A Muslim Alhamdulillah .not all people are right for us , take it as a lesson as hard as it was and is , who is meant for u , is urs, cuz they are written for u , focus on what u can control , do ur best , work on urself , build urself , and trust timing ,though do not attach to people , cuz at the end if u are desperate i don't think that ever can be in  healthy relationships , i mean , if u trust what is meant for u is , and u do ur best rightly , and u build knowledge and stuff for that and for being a good spouse in ur part then u would be fine even when it is tough, with people leaving , cuz u got Allah ( the lord i believe in Alhamdulillah ) u can't put anything above him ,he wouldn't give u stuff to put above him ,and even if it was hard , again take it as a lesson and know that it was for u rather then against u , hard times create hard man , hard man create good times , and good times create weak man and the cycle goes , soo keep it up , let it build u , don't stay on the hard time , keep going.I believe everything happens for a reason, and sometimes the hardest moments are just shaping us for what’s ahead. In my faith, we believe that Allah (the One I believe in Alhamdulillah) has wisdom behind everything. Keep doing your best, trust the timing, and know that what’s truly meant for you will always find its way to you.
