@Tinywhisper11 i know you are beautiful in your own way, looks have nothing to do with it as we don't chose what we look like, but we do chose our character. Those who don't see that are not worth it at all. Don't waste your time with them.

I'm not afraid of the word freak or of physical differences. Normal is boring and arbitrary. Freaks are awesome people who actually have some flare, deeper experiences, compassion, creativity, who know how to stand out and harness what makes us different. Freak and *trying*to be proud here. :) Sure the level of your physical issues is unfortunate but they are challenges - they do nothing to diminish you as a person or what you could potentially contribute to this world.

It's kinda the opposite for those that can pass its like the world tells us to be ashamed of having a disability. That any amount of energy and stress should be used to hide it.

As for anyone hurting you or making fun of you -here of all places - they need to take a good long look in the mirror. Unless it is ignorance or thier own pain speaking (which is at least forgivable) those without the ability to be compassionate and accepting are the only people who *don't* belong in a support community.

As one outcast to another - let your freak flag fly and do anything you can to have a full life even if it looks different that what society thinks a full life should mean.

I'm so tired of my entire value in this world being measured in the ability to "pass" as normal - we shouldn't have to .

And the obsession with normalizing further isolates and divides those with hideable differences from those who can't hide them at all - when the real fight is giving all.of us full lives. Being a throwaway is just annoying

Yeah I can pass just walking around out in society but thats all I can do "pass" - what value does it really have- I can just hang out on the periphery of society, pretend to be part of the world in short bursts, alone in a crowd, watching from a distance, forever isolated and set appart- so I get needing that feeling normal and the vicarious inclusion - we all need to sometimes.

I don't know what my point is exactly but as of this moment I am team TinyWhisper - hugs and an ear if you need it.

Am convinced the Internet itself is a factor. When everyone is miles away from everyone else & can communicate without facing each other directly, & with some degree of anonymity if they choose, then they feel free to say what they really think.

There's a lot of stuff said online that so many with false bravery would never say in person because they won't risk getting their a**es kicked. Or getting knocked down, or having their toes run over with a wheelchair's tire. Not that you'd ever do such things, of course...it would be regrettable if it were to happen to someone with a smart mouth.

Also - nothing wrong with being a freak. Normalcy is overrated IMHO... Been called "strange", "weird" & other things quite a few times. Eventually I decided to own it. ✊🏻 Us strange folk prevent this world from being more boring than it is!
