So I have been in a long distance relationship with someone for 5 months as you very well know . I have one big heavy concern that’s weighing heavily on my heart. That concern is that he still talks to his ex on a daily basis. Like we will be on a FaceTime call having a good time, and she calls.. he is so quick to tell me I’ll call you back babe when I’m done. I have timed their phone calls and most of them take about 30 minutes to an hour. When I ask him about it he gets defensive and frustrated that I’m even asking him about their conversation. Or he’ll even say “you’re being too sensitive”. Well my concern is that he still likes her and is doing things he shouldn’t be behind my back.

It's completely understandable that you're feeling concerned about your partner's frequent communication with his ex, especially when it seems to take priority over your time together. Trust is a fundamental aspect of any relationship, and it's important for both partners to feel secure and respected. It's concerning that your partner becomes defensive and dismissive when you bring up your feelings about his interactions with his ex. Open communication and transparency are crucial for addressing issues like this in a healthy way. It's essential for both partners to be able to express their concerns and feelings without fear of judgment or dismissal. It might be helpful to have a calm and honest conversation with your partner about your feelings and concerns. Let him know how his interactions with his ex make you feel and why it's important for you to discuss it. Expressing your emotions in a non-confrontational manner can help facilitate understanding and potentially lead to a resolution.
