this is my freshman year of high school which ive been extremely nervous for since my entire middle school years i was home schooled. My high school is actually really nice but math is by far my worst subject ever, i have dyslexia and dyscalculia so its extremely hard for me to understand and when i look at the equation for about 30 seconds everything starts looking like hieroglyphics. Its basically a humiliation ritual since every class every is randomly called and i have no idea how to solve these evil equations, which were doing inverse operations. Im extremely anxious and the randomly called on aspect when i don't know anything makes me feel like im gonna throw up. I've tried asking my teacher what i do and stuff and she explains it and it just won't go through my head which leads me to cry, especially every day i come home with homework i literally dont know how to do. Algebra by itself has made me think the worst thoughts ever and i still have a whole school year of this😭

Maths was my enemy too, no matter how many times it was explained to me. As you have specific needs, could the school or your parents look into getting a tutor that is tailored to your requirements?

I completely understand how you feel; it sounds really frustrating, especially with the challenges you’re facing. It’s amazing that you’re trying and staying persistent despite everything. Maybe you could try breaking problems into small steps or watching educational videos or using math support programs to make understanding easier. You’re not alone, and the most important thing is to keep trying and not give up 💚

Perhaps this could be a thing where you talk to the teacher and explain your situation and that, while you are working hard, you have these roadblocks and are very anxious about being called upon.  If the teacher is any good, the teacher could agree not to randomly call on you while you work this out!
