relationship issues
Hi:) i am 20 yrld f. my partner is 25 m. we have difficulties discussing our feelings to eachother: i listen to him when he tells me something thats bothering him or something that he cant get off his mind, and i try to ease it the best i can. but lately when i discuss my feelings no matter what it is he gets upset and starts screaming at me.. telling me that the only way to calm him down is by hugging him, but i cant love someone who is screaming down at me. we also have a problem with p**n he has a very high sex drive, so do i. but i do like to give my body some rest time to time. i recently brought up how i needed that space for a little while but im scared to tell him no when sexual things happen because im scared hes going to turn to p**n. i just need some sort of direction so this relationship doesnt come tumbling to the ground

It's not acceptable for your bf to shout at you, regardless of how he's feeling 😔
Or expect you to hug him in those moments.
He is responsible for regulating his own emotions.
He is also responsible for regulating and using p. In moderation.
You never ever have to do anything sexually that you don't want to, whether he has a high sex drive or not.
Sex is a shared , intimate act, it's not about pressure or it's not about doing it simply because a partner feels entitled to it.
You need communication.
Honesty.
Respect.
Balance.
This is the only way a relationship thrives and grows 💛

i love this. thank u

You are very welcome 🥰

I'm so sorry you're feeling like you can't communicate with your partner. That must grow really tiring especially considering you are clearly trying to keep the conversation healthy. I am familiar with the feeling of just "giving partner what they need" so that you don't have to feel the anxiety of wondering about them looking to meet their needs in other ways. Has there ever been a time that you two have been able to communicate about something difficult where it did go the way you wanted? Is there a specific time of day or mood you have to avoid when bringing these convos up?
I'm sorry you're going through this.
It's a good thing you're wanting the relationship to continue and all, but...
Your partner screaming at you is something you shouldn't be tolerating
Even though you both have high sex drive, you shouldn't be feeling scared to say no whenever he wants to do it.
Sex is consented by both parties, not just one. You shouldn't be doing it if you don't want to just because of what he could possibly do after.
I hope you find peace and a healthy solution to this. Please stay safe and take care. Know that you're not alone, and there's plenty of people here to support you 💜
