Getting rid of ‘stuff

My relationship of 30+ years ended around four years ago (not my choice and not well). My kids are grown and have left the family home. I still live here alone and have been working at the seemingly unending task of clearing stuff out. I find the process exhausting - selling, throwing or giving so many things away. I just want it gone, but cant find a way that doesnt conflict with either ...

- wasting money

- pollution / ecological problems

- emotional connection

Does anyone have any useful tips on dealing with this more effectively? I feel like Im responsible for doing it all myself and it continually pulls me down.

Hiya. So sorry to hear your relationship ended. I can't really give out advice because I don't want to put any ideas into your head. But why do you think you need to get rid of everything? You don't have to get rid of things if you do not want to. But if you feel it is best then okay. All I can say is that if you push through it and remember to breathe and try to leave old emotions behind, you will get through this, I believe you can do it. <3
