Hitting walls

My 18th birthday happening within a week. I though a good gift to myself would be a small wrist tattoo, I shared my plan with my parents but they weren't the most supportive. And now when I'm trying to go and make an appointment I'm freezing up and just want to give up. My dad said there was someone he felt comfortable to do it but he refuses to help me find his contant information.

I know turning 18 is supposed to be significant and I'm supposed to become a more independent person. But I'm having a hard time imagining being an adult if I can't even make a simple tattoo appointment. I've been trying for a while to be more independent but I keep breaking down and not going through with it.
