Horrified to seek support

heavy TW for discussions of paraphilia, namely zoophilia..important to note that I am 100% anti-contact, I am fully aware that animals cannot consent and I am fully against contact. please do not respond unless it's to be genuinely helpful, it's already stressful enough to post this here.

I've been having a lot of phases where I heavily question whether or not I may be a zoophile, and it's been tearing me apart. I already feel guilty 24/7, this is only giving me another reason. at least for other issues I could reach out to people and they'd be decently supportive, but there is no support for paraphiles. from what I've seen, they're only a degenerate plauge on humanity to others.

I feel like I just can't talk to anyone about it, not my loved ones, not my therapist, heck it's even stressful to post it here, it jist feels like something I have to take to the grave, no matter how much it burdens me. I feel so trapped and disgusting. I desperately need someone willing to listen to me. any help is greatly apprieciated.

@goatsly, I understand how upsetting it can be to keep your feelings inside you, especially if you feel like you cannot talk to anyone about it without feeling judged. If you want someone to listen to you, you can request me, and I will be here to listen and support you. You are not alone, and I don't want you to feel like you are. If you want someone to listen to you, I will 😊❤️.

Hi goatsly, so nice to meet you

What you're going through is not your fault. I know it can be super nervwrecking to even tell people this because not everyone has the maturity level to empathize and not be judgemental. it must be so tough going through that especially since you said theres no support for it, like online or anything like that.

I want you to know youre not alone in your struggle and I would listen to you anytime, with zero judgement. you can message me anytime

Actually goatse, I can't listen to you because you're a teen, 7cups should really seperate the teen and adult forums... i thought the teen and adult side were seperated i guess not. My misunderstanding

so instead I will just say something encouraging.

what you are going through makes you braver and stronger. Other people don't have to face this struggle you're going through so they have an advantage, but you have a different level of strength and maturity that they do not have. if other people judge you on this, that reflects on their character not yours. because they dont have the maturity it takes to put theirself in someone elses shoes.

to sit there for a second and think "what would i feel like if that were me" its not that hard to empathize but some people just choose not to. guess what though? that isnt your fault. its not your fault if someone chooses not to empathize, nor is it your problem. dont waste your energy onto non-empathetic people.

i think that peoples true character and true nature is reflected on how they treat situations like this. sure, its easy as heck to be nice to someone who seems "perfect". a kind person, who doesnt have any secrets like this, nothing tabboo about them, not in any controversial groups. its easy for anyone to be nice to people like that.

but if someone becomes mean and judgemental the moment someone different than them walks in, someone who thinks different, looks different, beleives different things, or maybe has a secret like this. if someone becomes mean at that point, they are not a true nice person on the inside because true nice people are not only nice if someone meets their standards about any subject.

no one is perfect and no one can ever 100% please another person with everything they do, everything they beleive, everything they think. thats what understanding and empathy is for. because we are all different and so complex so we need to understand each other and open our mind up and not be so close minded and choosing to remain ignorant.

focus your attention to true nice people. they are rare but theyre out there, i promise. you dont deserve to have to defend yourself against Anyone. dont let anyone pick a fight with you. you dont owe them your time or any sort of explanation or defense.

you deserve to only confide in people who earn your trust. people who deserve your trust. once someone earns your trust and truly deserves it, only then do they deserve to know the deep things about you.

@goatsly

First of all it's great that you sought someone to share your burden with, that is brave.

Anxiety can come with a lot of thoughts, doubts, questioning yourself, and feelings, especially guilt. So know that you don't deserve or need to feel guilty and suffer just because of something you think or feel, because we can't control those things. In time it will get better, remember that.

You're obviously doing the right thing in terms of following your moral compass when it comes to your actions, you don't want to harm anything or anyone, and that is all we can control.

Remember to accept that this isn't your fault, work on that and treat yourself as you would someone else who suffered from these thoughts, be kind to yourself. You're a good person, because a bad person wouldn't be as considerate as you.
