Hi I'm Chris I'm trying to find or establish a community of people who believe in law of attraction and understand it. it seems It's the motivational theory that says thoughts become things and you attract who and what you want by who and how you are ,what you do ,and how you feel . I do believe it to an extent but other than through things like books and on the internet, it seems most people believe it on a surface level but like most of the things that motivational speakers and writers in any form say , many people don't believe it works as ideally all the time for everyone as it often sounds. And therefore it's harder to talk with him because it's harder for them to come from a place of as much belief, comfort, and understanding. So I'm hoping that there are other people who at least to some extent like me believe the motivational theory called the law of attraction so we can perhaps talk with each other about experience and maybe have some understanding and benefit.

Chris

It's nice to have interests but I have heard a lot of bad things about the "law of attraction". First, there is no evidence that it actually does what it supposed to do.

Here's a quote: "The law of attraction originated in the 19th century movement known as the New Thought movement. An early proponent of the idea was William Walker Atkinson (1862-1932), who attributed his recovery from various physical, psychological, and financial disasters to the power of belief. He wrote a number of popular books about it, including Thought Vibration or the Law of Attraction in the Thought World (1906). Belief in the power of belief has been an attractive message for millions of people for hundreds of years, even though there is little evidence to support the notion that believing something can make it so. Most of the supportive evidence is anecdotal. The evidence from science supports a limited influence from the placebo effect. Proper scientific tests of the power of belief to cure serious illnesses, however, have been universally negative. Those who claim that some tests have shown a positive healing effect from prayer, visualization, or positive thinking are motivated more by desire to believe than by the actual evidence. The same is true for scientific tests of the ability of people to affect something physical using only thought" Source: https://skepdic.com/lawofattraction.html

I would not recommend the law of attraction to anyone but expecially to people in a mental health site, it seems to encourage magical thinking. Here is another useful article https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-blame-game/201609/the-truth-about-the-law-attraction

if this is your interest, then that's fine. I just think this so-called law of attraction isn't effective or helpful and I think there are better alternatives out there.
