January = the in between time

Many people love January, the beginning of a new year and lots of positive intentions, but I personally find it a bit difficult sometimes. January feels like that in-between period of after the holidays and before the rest of the year fully gets kickstarted.

It can feel like all the fun and excitement before the holidays and at the end of the last school term has just worn off. And now, the day to day work and stress begins again.

I am really trying to get out of this rut of feeling just...blah. Anyone have any ways to beat this blah post holiday mindset?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Hi! I totally understand where you are coming from. Personally, January feels very miserable after Christmas because there's really nothing to look forward to until a few months when it starts getting warmer out. December has all the excitement of the holidays, but it ends very quickly. For me, I like to keep busy to distract myself from feeling sad. I like to hang out with friends or do some hobbies! I hope you start to feel better soon!

I saw a funny IG post about how January is like a string of continuous Mondays lol

@halcyonCloud2036 Oh boy aha that really does a good job of defining it! Sounds like repetitive Groundhog's Day!
