abuse always there
abuse has and always will be there. it's out there always. they do what they want, they take what they want, whenever and how ever they feel like what they want. they will go on for hours a night, until they are exhaused. then you win, because you survive that time. but, there is just another time right around the corner. it goes on for years, wiht all different men, you never flirt with any of them, you never lead any of them on, you never dress sexy and make sure you always were lose clothes, you never show interest in them. yet, they always find you. they just do as they want, take what they want, all the time. for life. it is the way it is. it starts out when you are young, a kid. abuse every night for hours. away from home. as an adult for years, and on and on andon. you know it is all your fault. it always is. you are so a shamed. you never tell. number one rule, you never ever tell. got to be sure about that. you do your best to survive, always. sometimes you just have to go to the ER. you try not to tell them. you never want anyone to know. it is your secret, always.
@Amelia2324 Hello. I understand what you're saying on many levels. It can be so incredibly hard to say anything because as a young child you're taught to keep your mouth shut. What helped here is realizing that if someone doesn't say something, it will continue, maybe not with us but with someone else. Some other child, some other person. As hard as it is, we sometimes need to be the voice that speaks up, we need to be the one's to let the secret out because we don't want anyone else to go through what we have. They shouldn't be able to do the things they do and get away with it. We stop being mere survivors and become warriors, when we can do that.
TheFisherKing, that is very interesting about how to become a warrior and not just a survivor. I had never thought of it like that. I would like to go back to some of the things that have happened in be a warrior against so many of them so they would not do it to others like you were talking about. That would be very nice to stop them.
@Amelia2324 Sometimes it helps to look at things differently. It's taken me some time myself to realize this. We may not have been able to save ourselves at the time, but maybe we can help save others from the same pain. Maybe knowing this now and seeing it differently will help you and while we can't go back to those moments, we can take different steps in the future.
