im not sure what subcategory i shoulve posted this in so i apologize if this isn't in the right place. im a 15 year old girl and im currently seeking evaluation for adhd. i'm scared that although i meet virtually all the criteria for this disorder that im faking it because i do well in school. one adhd symptom i experience is that i completely zone out at school, im talking daydreaming 24/7 never paying attention however i still somehow figure out what is going on and get good grades effortlessly. is it possible for me to still have adhd even though i get good grades?

Hey! I don't have ADHD (I don't think, anyway) so I'm by no means someone who can give you the *best* advice on the matter. However, I do believe the answer to your question is a resounding yes! Doing well in school doesn't only come down to the things which ADHD impacts, it's a massive combination of things and so I'd say you could absolutely have ADHD and still be good at school. The two may correlate, but by no means is it an everyone experiences it the same way thing, to my knowledge.

I wish you all the best with getting the evaluation! And life as a whole <3
