Refund + Bonus
Today two unexpected things happened. I got an email from my university stating that a refund had been issued and the funds would be deposited in my bank within 1-2 days. I utilized this news to take advantage of a 40% off flash sale where I get my work clothes because 40% off sales don't happen often. Also got some art supplies because mine are running low.
Then later, our department director approached me and I went into her office. Worried that I did something wrong somewhere & I was going to be fired (the day to day atmosphere where I work bolsters this mindset) only to find out that I had been granted a bonus which is close to what my normal bi-weekly paycheck is.
This will help pay down bills and I will add some to my investment account. I will do some donations but I will save a goid chunk of it.
This unexpected news helps make my job a little less sressful--at least for a bit.

@BelovedMe The refund was unexpected. Especially since I had sent an email asking for clarification because the system was saying I owed them $7k which I didn't have. Thankfully my balance is $0 and I was fine with that. Then I got the email this morning.

Wow it sounds like you had an amazing day yesterday with all of the good things that happened to you. I am happy that your college was able to refund all of your money and that your boss decided to give you more money than you normally get. Keep up the hard work. Sending hugs.
@lovingRainbows2088 Well it wasn't a full refund but it was nice. Apparently it was saying I owed $7k because the financial aid hadn't been disbursed yet. When it was, there was a few hundred left over which they returned to me.
At least I was able to pay some other bills down with the ectra money.
