What small things make you happy?
Hey guys!
I thought it would be nice to remind ourselves why the little things matter, by sharing and remembering what those little things are that make you smile!
I'll start.
I feel like anticipation of needs is a beautiful gesture between two people who truly know each other, in any kind of relationship, and it is my favorite gesture.
If you feel like it, share with the community!

I don't know since it's so small but when someone completely random greets you on the street or on your way to work! It's small and I probably won't see them again, but it really makes me feel happy for awhile!
@YourInternetBuddy
hi my name is kylie and what makes me happy is my bf and bsf
@YourInternetBuddy the little things that mean the most to me 🤔🤔 is the kindness and the beauty the world can give us. I'm thankful that I have a real bed now, and I can wear clothes and eat real food. And that I don't live in fear ❤

This!
As hard as life could be, there's still so much love and kindness out there, even when you're not out looking for it.
A simple smile from a stranger, a warm hug from a friend.
I'm glad life has been kind to you, you deserve it!
@YourInternetBuddy 🤗 yes I realise now that there is alot of love and kindness in the world ❤ but I life hasn't been kind to me. Until I was rescued when I was 18, the things I listed that make me happy. Are things I have now but didn't have for many years. I think just the bare nessecities in life are something we should be very grateful for. The little things matter the most 😁❤
@Tinywhisper11
Yea, I agree with you. The little things matter the most. And I'm glad to know that tough life hasn't been kind to you, you still able to see the positive things in life. What we can't get, we can give. Just because life hasn't been kind to us, doesn't mean we can't be kind to other people.
@YourInternetBuddy I teach English in rural Japan. I live alone and have no close friends, so I spend a lot of time feeling lonely and isolated.
I work in the public school system, and what makes me happy is when my students laugh or smile in response to something I do. despite my lack of self-confidence, I always try to be energetic and funny, and I love it when my students respond in a positive way.
It's like little rays of sunshine in an otherwise uneventful life that keep me from slipping back into despair. I've been here for five years, and I think my students probably saved my life.
@Kyuun
The work you do is commendable! Teaching an entire new generation must be one of the most important jobs and people barley give teachers enough praise, you're amazing and you deserve all things good.
I can understand how a positive response from the kids you teach could deeply affect a teacher, it's an affirmation that you've left a mark on all those little children, and that they will remember you for the rest of their lives.
Thanks for being a positive impact on all those kids' lives! <3
@YourInternetBuddy Finding meaningful responsibility, claiming ownership for supporting somebody, care taking is a beautiful act indeed, also a fulfilling one. Finding that higher purpose in a caretaker role for a family or community I think holds us together, and the little moments between are definitely joyful events. Cheers! Best to you.
A cup of tea 😊
