An act of kindness....

Have you ever noticed that when you do some small, kind gesture, not only do you impact the other person positively, but you also feel better yourself? It can be something small like letting a car go in front of you, holding a door open, helping someone reach something on a shelf that is too high or even just complimenting a stranger. A course taught at Yale University on the Science of Well-Being found that acts of kindness can be one of the most gratifying things we can do to improve our own happiness (and that of others around us). It doesn't have to be a big, grand gesture, just thoughtful. Try it yourself and let us know what you think.....

-Have you ever thought about how you feel when you do something kind?

-How did you feel when an act of kindness was done for you?

This is a great post - especially given the times that we are in.

I find that when I am being kind to others, that I am in fact also being authentic towards myself. And this in particular always makes me feel innately good as well as fulfilled.

Conversely, when others do a kind act towards me, it lets me know that even though we are currently living in very stressful times that there are still moments (and people) that remind us that everything will be okay. :)
