The lotus! (Motivational)
The Lotus Flower grows in the deep mud, far away from the sun. But, sooner or later, the Lotus reaches the light becoming the most beautiful flower ever.
The Lotus flower is regarded in many different cultures, especially in eastern religions, as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth.
Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower.

@comfortableNight4463 I think something that is really beautiful to me are cardinals. I like to think of them as my loved ones visiting from heaven and making sure to tell me that they are doing okay.

Honestly, a nice sunny day does the trick for me.
I just have an appreciation for whoever/whatever created all of this, and I'm honestly just happy to be along for this ride. :)

I've always found it interesting that are certain foods/activities that we pretty much associate with the weather. And that the enjoyment of those foods/activities can directly be affected in the same vein.
You are just right! - Growing up, I was told I was too tall (and I am only 5 feet 4 inc. and wish I can be taller) and my skin color was too dark. In my teen years, I was quite depressed and feeling everything is wrong with me. Then my uncle lifted me up, not that I can always stay up and not let this upbring haunts me, but I do my best to remember this exchange I had with my uncle:
"Why do you look so down? What is wrong?" and I told him, "I am too tall! I am too dark! I am hopeless!"
"What?", my uncle said, "You want the truth? ..... Anyone who is taller than you is too tall, and anyone shorter than you is too short; because you are just right! Anyone who has a lighter skin tone than you is too pale, anyone who is darker than is too dark; because you are just right!
Remember this: You are just right for you! If I were to have a daughter, I would want her to be exactly like you!"
My uncle has 3 sons, no daugher. He died young of diabetes more than 15 years ago. His words helped me through and through, even now!
