When talking about achievements, us humanoids usually talk of the big things, the "important things", it is a rarity that we mention or validate the "minor", "smaller" accomplishments. I think we should change this.

For those of us with mental health problems, or those going through some stuffisms, we DESERVE to celebrate these daily achievements. It takes a LOT of energy, and a lot of work to wake up, to go to school/work, to finish that ten page essay. But we do it anyway. So we ROCK.

For this thread, it would be veerrrry awesome if you could follow my lead.

Today I have achieved these things:

I practiced self care by getting dressed, eating + drinking, taking my medicine and RESTING.

I organized my Google documents into something that didn't resemble chaos.

I made someone smile

I told my friend something that was bothering me instead of just saying " I am okie dokie"

I told someone that I needed a break when I needed one *is not great at being assertive for myself*

I spoke to my family even though I kind of felt like hermitcrabbing and not talking.

I planned a week of feed posts - on my to do list!!!

So that is what I am proud of today. I have achieved stuff!

What have you achieved today?

I am proud of myself for doing a few things recently:

I calmed myself down before my thoughts started to get to me.

I smiled even though I wasn't feeling it.

I tried to remain positive after dysphoria started to happen really badly.

Is getting out of bed an achievement? If so then yay!

Yeah, I like and appreciate your acknowledgment of how important even tiny victories can be. I like to think that everyone had their own set of things they excel and struggle with. For example I have trouble with a lot of social situations, but a particular friend of mine does not. On the flip side though, he has a phobia of cotton balls, which I see as silly, but try not to tease him over it because I know I have my weaknesses too.

Little victories I've had include more (albeit online) social interaction even including this post. So often before I'll get half way through conveying an idea, and just delete the post thinking "nobody wants to hear you babble on like this." I've been good lately about expressing myself despite thoughts that people will annoyed with the quirky or seemingly odd things I have to say.

@Krank

I completely understand the feeling of not wanting to "bother" anyone with another "babble" I do this a lot so I really can appreciate your achievement! Social interaction is very hard, so I am super proud of you for doing it anyway!
