19th birthday soon.. just missing you dad💗

It’s been 2 years since my dad died of an overdose at his worksite and it really hasn’t gotten any better. I miss him but i also mourn the relationship we could have had. When i was with him (my parents never were married and they separated when i was 4) he unfortunately could only talk about past memories because as a growing teenager i had things i need to do and he ran a painting business in his small town and didn’t have much off time. (the 2 weeks i saw him a year because he lived in a different state we still barely hung out) He was a great person guys he made some bad decisions but he was the nicest guy you could randomly run into. Makes me cry just thinking about it. He knew everyone around him in his town and was always getting stopped just to say hello. Truly makes me think about everyone i talk to and just be kinder period. Anyways the point is i’ll never get back the time i could have spent getting to know the person he was truly and i will live to regret it.

Hope he knew he was loved. 💗💗
