Breakup
I got broken up with a few days ago. We lived together and i was anxiously attached. Now i just feel alone and left to pick myself up with all these issues i have. I’m scared to be alone.
Hey @loyalPine3477, Firstly welcome to 7 Cups, I'm glad you found your way here! 💜 I can hear how raw and overwhelming this breakup has been for you, and it’s incredibly brave to put those feelings into words. When you’ve lived with someone and built your routines, your safety, and your day‑to‑day life around them, losing that connection can feel like you’ve been dropped into a world that suddenly feels too big and too empty.
Being anxiously attached can make the aftermath feel even heavier. That sense of “I’m alone now and I don’t know how to carry all of this by myself” is something so many people experience after a breakup, especially when the relationship felt like a source of stability. It makes complete sense that you’re scared to be alone right now, not because you’re incapable, but because your nervous system is still trying to adjust to a reality it didn’t choose.
You’re not left to pick yourself up alone here. The fact that you reached out shows there’s a part of you that wants connection and support, even in the middle of all this pain, and it’s okay to lean on others while you find your footing again, whether that’s here in the forums or with people you trust offline.
You’re welcome to keep talking here if it helps you process things. And if you ever want someone to listen privately, you can reach out to a 1:1 listener but there’s absolutely no pressure. You don’t have to figure everything out at once, and you don’t have to pretend you’re okay when you’re not.
Sending you all the good vibes as you navigate this period of your life 💜
