Is this a place where I can grieve the loss of my 6 year relationship?

Thank you. He left me abruptly but said he couldn’t be himself with me. I tried my best to ask him to stay and that I’d work on whatever I needed to to make it better but he said he also needs to work on himself and he can’t do that while being with me and doesn’t think he can ever see us working out even after he’s worked on himself because he’d be too afraid of losing himself again.
We were just talking about rings and wedding venues too. My heart is shattered. I begged and begged and begged for a month. Now I am trying to leave him alone… 4 days of no contact and it feels like weeks.
@quietCurrent2672 oh that's heartbreaking😥 I'm so sorry sweetie 🙁 people are weird creatures unfortunately we will never completely understand anyone's actions, and it's sad it took him so long to come to this decision😥 it's ok to grieve his absence and love💖 I hope with time the scars he left will heal💗 but until then lean on us we are all here for you 💗gives you a giant tiny hug 💗
He has asked to see me. But he said it’s for selfish reasons. I really do want to see him too but I know I’ll be hurt in the end because he won’t want me back. But I’m hoping it changes a spark in him so that he desires this relationship again. I feel so conflicted
