Griefing..
Still can't believe it Happened. This year's been a worst nightmare for me. Lost my aunt who was like a mother to me in February and in June lost my grandma , the one who brought me up till now. Now I'm all alone at home bcz both my parents are working. Living with her feels very difficult and specially the dreams I've been getting about both of them doesn't let me concentrate on thing either. I'm just left with regret of not being with them during their last breath , tho I was there with my grandma but seeing her die infront of me makes me even more miserable of not being able to protect her.
Sorry for your loss and what you're going through :(

Hi, Tangerine!
I'm really sorry to hear that you've been going through such a tough time this year. You've experienced really painful losses. I can imagine how hard it must be to cope with the passing of your aunt and grandmother. Losing people who were like a mother and guiding figures in your life is incredibly challenging.
Feeling alone at home while your parents are working can amplify those feelings of loss and loneliness. It's like you're carrying the weight of these losses on your own, alone.
It's completely understandable that you're struggling with distressing dreams and intrusive thoughts about the loved ones you lost. Those thoughts can really take a toll on your ability to focus on your daily tasks and responsibilities. This is part of the grieving process. It won’t last forever but it can’t be avoided.
Regret is a common feeling when we lose loved ones, and it's natural to wish you could have been there more for them in their final moments. You did your best with what you knew at the time. Being present with your grandmother when she passed shows the love and care you had for her. It must have been incredibly difficult to witness, and it's okay to feel a sense of helplessness about not being able to protect her.
Grieving is a personal journey, and there's no right or wrong way to go through it. It takes time. Be patient and compassionate with yourself.
You did well coming here to share your experiences and emotions. Sharing and talking about how you feel might help much to cope. If possible, it might also be very helpful to talk about your feelings with someone you trust, like a friend or someone in the family.
I encourage you to come here often to share your feelings and keep us updated about how you are doing. There are many other spaces and activities as well in 7 Cups that might help you, like group chat rooms, the Sharing circles, or the Poetry community, where you might express your feelings and honor their memory with a short poem.
I hope things get better in your life soon.
I look forward to seeing you again around here.
All the very best to you!
Marcelo.
