@generousOak1514  I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is hard. I've learned that no matter what kind of relationship you had with that parent, it's hard. It's not something that anyone can ever really prepare for. Sometimes when we first lose someone and there's other things going on we can push the grief away. You were focused on your exams and there's nothing wrong with that. But after the pressure of exams passed, grief made it's self known?

We all grieve differently, I'm sorry your mother is treating you rudely. It may be her way of dealing with her grief. Have you tried talking with her about this?

It can be hard for people who have not lost someone to understand how we feel and how we handle grief. I'm sorry you and your GF had so many quarrels and it caused a break up. I wish you would have had the support of those you were closest with, but I know that sometimes that just doesn't happen. People can often expect us to get over our loss. If only it were that easy.

Be patient and gentle with yourself. Grief has no timeline.

@generousOak1514

hey. i was in the same boat as you last month. back to school after break and not one week later, someone in my family died. it was..tough. like you said, exams, school, juggling everything while coping with this loss. it’s a lot and it takes a lot. then suddenly exams are over and you realise how tired you are of everything. how..emotionally draining it is to keep going when everything in you goes to a standstill. it may feel incredibly lonely bc sometimes it rly is. losing a parent is hard. it really is. no matter whether you thought you hated them or not. it is hard and it will continue to be. keep going🫶you’ve got this. i believe in you. it gets better eventually. what i do is sometimes i write poems. so i’ll write about myself in the third person perspective and talk about how i miss the person who died. it sucks it really does and sometimes even though it’s been a month i crash again but it’s ok..bc it gets better. trust me. it gets better in the end. stay strong❤️❤️i’m so so sorry for your loss
