I lost my nanny and papa literally a day apart 3 years ago they raised my and we were very close and they were like my parents my nanny had terminal lung cancer stage 4 so fought for 4 years so i feel I got to kind stay goodbye but it was still hard my papa had COPD but I feel he passed from broken heart they were together 57 years I didn't get to say good bye to him and my mom had take him off life support and they had him sedated so I didn't get to say good bye and it hurts me I feel like it's not fair the hospital had him sedated whole time they wouldn't even wake him up so we could say goodbye when they could have I just miss them so much and a lot of things will never be the same and almost everything reminds of them or memories of them. I wish their was away I could know they are ok and say good bye I just want one more hug you know

@Bubblymermaid There is some comfort in being able to say goodbye and I'm so sorry that you didn't get the chance to do that for your papa<3 It is something that haunts me as well but I like to tell myself that they know, they understand and they see how much we miss them. They hear all that our heart wants to say without needing any words<3

I can understand the need for one last talk, one more hug and I wish there was some way.. I guess that's a kind of pain we just have to deal with, one day at a time. But you're not alone<3 We're here with you and I hope talking about your grief here helps you feel a bit better<3
