@worryBear i understand what you are saying quite well. I had this fear during certain moments in my life. Bad thing is parents and people whos been there all of our lives are irreplaceble. And its gonna be a before and after when they are gone. Good or not so bad news is that along the way we find other things or people that ties us to this world. Other reasons to keep going. And even if we dont have it there are chances to do those things and learn to live with the absence. People go through loss all the time and they survive. You can also too. His absence might mean a lot of grief and nostalgia but there are a lot of other nice feelings you can experiment, loss doesnt mean eternal sadness. Try and enjoy every moment you got wirh your dad and think how sad he would be if you were gone early. Theres a reason for you to be here on this day and age and to be alive is a gift even when it doesnt feel like it it is. But i get the feeling. Also try and put the focus elsewhere. Look for more new exciting things to do even if they feel small you can try them. Hope this might helps and wish you the best.

I'm so sorry you had to go through this. Dealing with the death of someone close to you that you love is devastating. I hope you are doing well and can get through this difficult time. Personally, I am terrified of getting older bc even though I'm really young my dad is disabled and I know that he will only be around for a few more years, all I can do rn is cherish the time I have left with him sadly. I can't imagine how you are feeling rn but I really hope that your family and you are slowly healing from this tragedy. When your sad try to remember all the good times you had together, and your favorite things about him and, maybe do something he loved to do for fun to feel like he's still with you.

I used to feel the same way but I've realized that it will hurt everyone who loves me if I die.

And because I love them I'll stay and be the one to take the pain.

@worryBear

I felt the same way when my mother died. I felt like i am alone in the world and that was not sure what to do anymore.

If i may, keep close to your family and friends, even if you don't feel like, share your feelings. It will be easier to handle the grief.

That's how I'm feeling right now. Feel like I'm alone, empty. I wish i could share my feelings with my mom, but hold it back cos I don't want to make her feel sad 😢 Thankfully i got my sister to lend her ears
