My husband died on his birthday
He was the love of my life. How do you cope with the hole in your chest? It feels like the best part of my soul was ripped away..
@Leavesofgrass1885 I'm so sorry sweetie. Gives you a giant tiny hug ❤ there's no right way to cope with loss, it's a different journey for us all. I hope it will get easier for you in time. Please be kind to yourself and remember the good times always. Where you married for long?
Married 4 years, together for 16. We were high school sweethearts
@Leavesofgrass1885 high school sweethearts ❤❤ aww that's a true love there. And very romantic ❤❤ do you celebrate xmas??? If you do what would you and husband be doing ?
We would spend it with family
@Leavesofgrass1885 that's the best way to celebrate ❤ do you have the support of your family?? And his? Through this heartbreak your going through?
Do you know what I think this Xmas is the one you should spoil yourself the most ❤ by yourself that unnecessarily expensive thing you don't need, but really want. Things always get tough when your missing someone especially around the holidays. So being nice to yourself is really important ok? What is the funniest memory of your husband?
There is so many funny memories. The one that comes to mind is is the time I was writing an essay for one of my college classes and I put eggs on to boil. I forgot about them and burned them black. He called me "Eggs Burnadict " for the rest of forever.
I do have the support of both our families and our friends.
Hey, i’m new here. I actually just joined yesterday…
i am truly sorry for your loss, no-one can understand what you are going through right now, but i can only imagine.
Maybe, you can try to fill the hole in your heart with knowing that you have been lucky to have loved and was loved back by that wonderful person. Even though he is no longer here with us and his journey ended on this earth, your journey doesn’t end yet, and how lucky you are to have shared that journey with him. People sometimes spend all their lives for that person who they can say they were truly lucky to know.
It is not going to be easy, but take each day as it comes, one step at a time. Your own pace. You are not alone. 💙
@Leavesofgrass1885
I'm very sorry you lost your husband. Grief takes time to heal, but it does get better over time. I strongly believe in the afterlife. Hopefully, he's in a better place now.
@Leavesofgrass1885 haha! Eggs burnadict that's priceless 😂😂😂😂 I'm glad you have a support system, however I do understand that it's not always easy to talk to friends and family because you don't want to upset anyone. That's where 7 cups steps in 🤗 you are not alone, you have our full support ❤❤and can talk freely here about the things you want to say but cant. Did you and your husband own your own place? Do you both normally decorate or have any special Xmas traditions?? It's nice to talk about the things that bring up good memories sometimes. But if you find you don't want to answer or talk about theese things. Then tell me to shut up at any point ❤❤ gives you a giant festive tiny hug ❤❤
@Leavesofgrass1885I am with you. it would take some time but please take care yourself. try to live sometime with your close blood relative like mom dad and cousins
