Recurring miscarriages

I’ve had 6 pregnancy losses (miscarriages) in the past four years. I never really had the time to grieve them all, and now that I am done having children, it is hard to sit with. I see others around me getting pregnant, and I’m sad I won’t be having anymore. Just feels extra heavy right now.

@lightHouse3257 I can't even begin to express my sorrow for all your losses, lighthouse. Grief is the price we pay for love, and love is our deepest vulnerability, as you've experienced. Please take all the time and space you need to grieve both the loss of your babies and the sense of the life that you had envisioned. We're here for you when you need us.

Thank you for your insight. Love the term you used, “love is our deepest vulnerability.” It is vulnerable carrying a child - and all the anxieties that come with it.

One think I kept with me was the idea that being open to life, is being open to death. Can’t have one without the other.

@lightHouse3257 you're welcome, lighthouse. And you're right about the idea of life implying that of death; it's a helpful perspective to have. Anyway, I'm hoping that you find your way to healing through this.
