The emotions you may experience after the loss - Anger
Anger: Sometimes losing your loved one can promote anger. This is completely natural emotion, and part of the grieving process. Death can seem cruel and unfair, whatever stage of life it occurs. We often feel anger towards the loved one who died or at ourselves for not saying or doing something we feel we should have.

@lucy2 I experienced a rush of anger at the other people at the funeral who were crying. I felt like they didn't have the right to their grief when they hadn't been there for him more when he was alive. Of course that wasn't really rational since everyone is entitled to feel whatever then are feeling, and since they may have been crying because they felt guilty about not being more supportive for all I know.
Hi @resourcefulPond1641
You're right, I think we all experience anger and I completely understand why you felt protective of your loved one's life, suffering and loss. It's very personal to you and those close to you, and it's natural to have doubts about others presence but you have analysed your that anger very well indeed!

Anger is such a powerful emotion and one that can bring about some much needed change in your life and in your mood. It is okay to be angry after the loss of someone, it is fine, even if other people say it is not. It is not something you have to justify to others, it is yours and yours alone.

I agree, anger is a natural emotion, its when it becomes a problem, we need to be concerned and treat it as we would any other emotion that gets out of hand❤️
@enjoyiableBlanket9782 Thank you. I really appreciate this. I also feel like anger comes from real unmet needs that need to be addressed or from someone disrespecting your or mistreating you in a way that is real and valid and standing up for yourself is valid.
I'm angry at my friend that passed away because she chose to leave. She chose to end her life, and I'm mad at myself for not checking in sooner. And I'm also mad at my mom for trying to tell me that, "it's okay! She got saved when you guys were younger, she's in heaven now!" And I don't care where she "is" now the problem is she's not HERE right now she's supposed to be here. I was supposed to have more time and I don't.
Hello @lonestarrysky068
My heart goes out to you it really does ❤️ you have had a tremendous shock. No matter what others say, we can't possibly feel the pain you are going through right now, we can only imagine and it's tragic.
I won't lie to you, it will take a long time and lots of understanding from those around you and I really hope they realise the support you will need in the coming months or however long it takes.
Please don't try to rush things, you're emotions will be up and down like a rollercoaster for a while, but one point I would say, keep a journal of all your feelings, no matter how small. You will feel angry at times too, so be kind to yourself {{{hugs}}}
You may also like to make a memory box, decorate it and fill it with items that remind you of the good times you spent with your friend.
Sending love ❤️
