Tough times
My fiancé passed away almost 2 years ago and I still wear my engagement ring. I sometimes think of taking it of because I get a lot of people asking about my marriage, it does bring up a lot of memories and I don’t want to lead others on thinking i have a life that doesn’t exist. But it is so hard for me personally to think about taking it off or moving it to another finger thinking I’m totally breaking it off and forgetting her or leaving her alone. I know it’s more of an attachment thing for me but I was reaching out to see if anybody has advice in this situation.

Firstly I am so sorry for your loss 🩷
That's heartbreaking.
And I cannot imagine the pain you must have gone through.
There is no right way or wrong way to grieve or no timeline.
It might help to get a chain and place your fiance's ring on the chain and keep it close to your heart.
It's about what makes you happy.
She'll always be a big part of your life no matter what 🩷
The only person who will know if you can move on will be you 🩷

Thank you Amanda for your kind words. Yes I am also thinking of doing that. I’ll give it time because I still feel uncomfortable thinking about it. I’ve really suppressed a lot of emotions because I don’t have friends that I can talk to and I don’t like to talk to my mom because it makes her really sad so I have so much built up feelings. I’m always scared one day I’ll just break down and it will all come pouring out. It’s been a long road for sure.

A pleasure 🩷
I'm glad you could talk about it here, because bottling it up will only hurt you more in the long run 🩷

Some wounds take longer to heal, but anytime you get overwhelmed by memories and emotions remind yourself that you are grateful she was in your life and keeps appearing in other form. This helps
And remember, you’re still on your path of self-realization—there’s so much more ahead for you to discover 🙏🏽
@PatrickR89101 I'm so sorry for your loss.
Really, only you can make the decision, but my opinion is that moving the ring to another finger would be a way of still keeping it with you (and thus honouring your connection with your late fiancée, still) whilst also avoiding the questions you'd prefer not to have to talk about. You'd still have the ring on you, so you could still look at it and remember her, but you can keep your grief a little more private if that's what you prefer (not that there is anything wrong with grieving at all, of course, but you just might not want to have to keep discussing it with others, especially strangers). Another option might be to wear it on a chain around your neck (tucked into your shirt -- close to your heart), but it depends on whether you'd be comfortable with that.
I hope that makes sense. But as mentioned it's totally your choice at the end of the day, obviously,
