Unsure (TW/CW maybe?)

I don't know if I should put this on here since I haven't lost anybody yet but here I go!

My grandma was diagnosed with a type of stage 4 cancer back in 2025 and she got 6 months to live, she tried treatment anyways and it seemed successful! The tumor was gone (not the cancer though😕)

But kinda more recently it seems the tumor is back as far as what I know I suppose.

She was only there for me when I was younger (to help take care of me, etc.) She wasn't there for me when I got older because of some troubles with my mom, but since she got diagnosed with cancer and all, we started coming around more.

I suppose that's what hurts more—not really knowing someone for your whole life until recently. Just wishing I could spend more time with her and not having to worry about something happening.

Sorry for such a long rant, thanks for reading if you did!

@creativelychris I'm so sorry you're facing this. I know how hard it can be and how much it hurts.

I went through this with my father 2 years ago. We had just reconnected and then he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer too.

Take this time to say to her anything that you need to, spend time with her. I say this because I have regrets for all the things I didn't say to him in the time that we had. Regrets for the time I lost that I could have spent with him.

I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. 💜
