Video on Letting Go

This is a link to a video I found helpful for letting go. It has a wonderful and accurate (at least in my opinion) metaphor to describe the healing process and the pain from both holding on and letting go.
Im also including a video description and just dialog written out too. I'd love to hear your thoughts on letting go along with other ways to let go and heal along with struggles that may be holding you back /nf.

Video starts out with a person holding a shard of glass. The glass is hurting them but they're worried that letting it go would hurt more than keeping it. The second person helps them let go.

Dialog:

Person 1: "Ow."

Person 2: "Hey, what's wrong?"

P1: "My hand hurts."

P2: "Yeah, because you're holding a shard of glass."

P1: "I know."

P2: "So why don't you let go?"

P1: "I don't know. I've had it for a long time."

P2: "Why do you even have a shard of glass?"

P1: "It used to be something else before it broke,
but now I don't know what to do and I'm afraid of letting it go."

P2: "The only way you can feel better is if you let it go."

P1: "I don't remember a time in my life I didn't have it, and the
pain of having it might be better than the pain of losing it."

P2: "If the shard of glass doesn't serve you and holding it only
causes you pain it's not worth holding onto and the only way
you can heal is if you let it go."

P1: "Okay." [P1 drops the shard of glass on the ground.]

P2: "How do you feel?"

P1: "Weird and bad and my hand is still bleeding."

P2: "Healing takes time. One day you wont even remember
you had a cut on your hand."

P1: "What should I do with the glass?"

P2: "Leave it, it's not your responsibility anymore."
