There is disagreement by members if this rule applies to this room.
I'm sorry but if that's true then 2 things :
Update rules accordingly and in real-time.
Notify all moderators about it.
It's confusing to everyone equally if chat rules become a forum hunt. That's not how this should work.
All rule exceptions have to be accessible by members and moderators equally in a glimpse and not by starting a scavenger hunt.
Addendum
When I was in room no moderator who apparently was speaking Indian languages was there as I am aware of.
People were starting a fight and you can imagine how stressful it is to keep the room safe, don't know who tells the truth about if someone is inappropriately since I speak not all Indian languages or even one.

To clarify: I love and respect the Indian community and I'm happy to see the room came true. All I ask for is a simplified way of communicating rules.

i am sorry if that seems like someone is targeting the Indian Community. Those words are more than harsh actually.
We respect all members equally and want what is best for the community ( the whole community ). Personally i am in no position to make rules but no one informed us about the changes either. That brought confusion both to us AND the members of the India community room.
At the bottom of the room, rule #6 says that only English should be used.
Also i was plenty of time in the room, and there was NO mod that could speak any India language and i can assure you there were conflicts ( members coming in saying racist insults to the room, members inside the room insulting each other ) You can tell because some insults were at English.
Lastly, speaking for myself, i did try to clean the issue in pms and surprisingly no one knew or they believed rule #6 should be followed.
The festival is of great importance and the idea of having special events around it is great. No one disrespected the India community. We followed the guidelines we had and this forum post is about that also. There is no need for such harsh words such as targeting and disrespect , we don't need conflict or hate . We are here to make this place friendly for everyone.
@Fivo,please dont exaggerate it and i have cleared whatever i wanted to and there is no conflict right now. EVEYRTHING ENDS WELL. SIMPLE !!! and regarding ICR its open only from 4p.m-1:00 a.m IST this week only .
FIRSTLY I was in angry mood, so i wrote littlle harshly in previous comment but now I am not angry. I UNDERSTOOD THE POINTS SAID HERE
SECONDLY, Everyone gets a second chance,so let's move forward.
THIRDLY, I had an idea to keep ICR open coz when we had first discussion,it couldnt happen coz the crowd got overexcited and calming them was very difficult.
FOURTHLY, Now,I know what's best, keeping ICR open one hour before and after discussion which means ICR for 3 hours is better alertnative than 24/7
FIFTHY, Only for this week let let the sweet room ICR be open from 4p.m-1:00 a.m IST (plenty of Indian mods are around that time)

@kindSoul10 thanks for bringing this to our attention. I think this post was not aimed at any group, but was an attempt to figure out how to deal with people arguing and being unsupportive.and speaking languages other than English.
I just want every group mod who is working hard to feel their work is valued and important. Being a group mod is a difficult job under all circumstances. If I do not agree with another mod, I would rather not risk hurting a member of our own team.
If you have questions about this post or any other posts here, I welcome having a reasonable dialogue with anyone by PM.
