Depression Support 1 Update
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that Depression Support 1 will soon be badge locked, so that only those with the Group Chimer badge may access it.
To earn the Group Chimer badge, you must have at least 5 group chats.
If you're a regular user of the room, it's likely nothing will change for you in terms of being able to access DS1. You can check your profile if you're unsure whether or not you have the badge.
Anyone who is unable to access this room can continue seeking support in Depression Support 2 or the Depression Community Room.
This badge lock is being put into place to prevent harmful users from returning on multiple accounts, and to protect the regular users in that space.
I will update this thread once the badge lock is in place.
Thanks for reading! :)
How can I get involved?
@Heather….an unknown person posted in this thread DS1 how do you fight loneliness? I struggle with that too..I am ashamed to say sometimes I do not even think people know I may not receive a hug or personal touch for months...How do you get over the touch and not having someone near?
@honestBranch5884
Honest I understand, it's not great feeling lonely and isolated. Maybe take small steps, there's a good site called 'Meet Up', people go out in groups to social events, cinema, walks etc You decide if you want to go to an event. You get to 'meet' people and make new friends.
Give it a go, see how it goes.
@rebel11
Thanks for the recommendation. I do need to reach out and do that. Meet people on meetup! I will try that once in awhile.
I am new. What can I do to get badge? I have severe depressive depression and anxiety. Along with a series of other medical diagnoses.
@inventiveJar7300
I am not sure I can answer that question except participate and share you and your experience in the 7 cup community. Allow yourself to grow. Encourage one another in the community and I am certain in return your mental health will increase positively. Be encouraged that in my opinion the badges give you extrinsic motivation however the support And feedback give you the intrinsic tools that will change your life. Keep sharing and share often
