How do I join a group chat properly?

I participated in a group chat but could not understand what was going on there already. I sent one more message but it seemed to be ignored. I was only present in the chat room but not actually participating in it. All I could say was a "hello" and there were so many messages. I can't understand how to join a group chat properly.

Sometimes the chats go really fast and I'm totally clueless about the conversation. If there's a different room that can support your issue, trying switching to it. Some of the rooms tend to be a bit quieter than others. Alternatively, another time might work.
I do find that the guided discussions are easier to follow, especially with a busy room!
