Group Support Updates! In case you missed it!

Hello everyone!

Hope this post finds you well. It is heartwarming to receive support from our members, listeners, and leaders across the group support chat rooms.

However, we need more helping hands and support to ensure we could provide proper support to all. For this, we took specific steps in this regard!

Sharing Circle Button!

You might have noticed this on the home page or in the right-hand side pane of different sub-communities as well. When you click the “Join Group Chat”, it will redirect you to the Sharing Circle Room in one click. It became easier to connect, participate and share: “What’s in your mind?”, “What are you thinking?”, “How are you feeling” or anything in between.

So, next time if you feel to vent and share, then, Sharing Circle Room is a click away to join!

Group Support Buddy Program Launched

To provide better guidance and support to the new room supporters and chat room moderators, we re-introduced a buddy program where new leaders will be paired with experienced leaders for two weeks. We took this step to ensure our new leaders are well prepared so that they can support our members better. To learn more about it, please read the detailed post here!

Chatroom Moderator Training Schedule & Application

To ensure we bring new moderators timely to bring more support to different support rooms, we will be running weekly moderator training sessions. These sessions will be run by Group Support Leaders. The schedule thread will show when is the next training and at what time, so any room supporter who completed at least a week in the role, can attend the moderator training and can apply for the role after it as well. Support Team Leader Nomination

If you are a moderator and think you could be the right candidate to become a support team leader, then you can nominate yourself. Or, if you have anyone else in mind who could be the potential one, you could nominate them as well for this role. And, Group Support Leader will review the nominations to shortlist and take the next course of steps to onboard as Support Team Leader. Please check this post to learn how you can nominate!

Discussion Banner Access Updated

Now more leaders in different roles will be able to set banners for discussions and support sessions in the chat rooms. We took this step to make it easier for the leaders in different roles to set the banner when they host discussions in different support rooms. For more information, please read it here!

Zero Tolerance Policy

This is to clarify that we implemented the Zero Tolerance Policy in the Adult Support Room 24/7 first. And to keep in mind the safety and support level in different chat rooms, it is applicable to all chat rooms, whether member chat rooms or listener chat rooms. The step is taken to ensure our members and listeners get the right support in a safe environment. All are required to behave as per community and chat room guidelines. If we find anyone violating the rules, they will face the consequences as per the Behavioral Rating System.
