Need Help!! By You, For You!!

Hello Community, I hope you are doing well.

A few ongoing issues in the Group Support Rooms brought to my attention. And, I would need your help to address these issues.

1. Need for an additional Support Room

It was shared by the users that due to regular sharing circle sessions, crowded rooms and everything in the between, many not feeling supported and asking for a second support room.

As it was multiple times shared during weekly chats, 1-1s by me that we can make use of rotational rooms in such a situation to ensure we get and provide all proper support. Because we opened these rooms on a rotation basis based on the choices made by the community. But, the participation in these rooms is low while we getting the concerns of not getting proper support.

So, here is what I could do -

Put a request to open an additional general support room. But it will lead to the closing of rotational rooms because if we are not using the available resources, then it is better to close. For this, we opening a poll. Please submit your thoughts. -- Survey Form <---- (Click it)

2. Old users returning to their community!!

I am glad our old users returning to the community. Welcome back, everyone!

But, it is reported some of them are unsupportive, picking conflicts, and making things difficult for the moderators and other users to keep the room safe, compassionate and respectful for all. So, I ask all our users to be supportive of each other.

Please have a respectful and compassionate conversation. Understand that this is your community, your home. So ensure to keep it safe and clean for all. But, if anyone found to be causing chaos in the rooms, moderators can warn you as well as your accounts can be suspended.

3. People of Color (POC) Support Room

It is reported that some of the users are making inconsiderate comments to other users and not respecting the room and the chatroom guidelines.

FYI, the Young People of Color at 7 Cups is supported by The Steve Fund, the nations only non-profit focused on working with students, colleges, and nonprofit organizations to promote the emotional well-being and mental health of young people of color. During their late teens and twenties, young people of color may face challenges related to their mental health and emotional well-being that they need to cope with.

Discrimination can happen to anyone regardless of their colors, race, gender, etc. And, it doesn't leave anyone feels good. Please be considerate, compassionate and respectful to the room, community, and people. Try to pause for a minute, put yourself in their shoes to understand how it affects them.

4. CoVid19 Support Room

We opened the room to ensure all get regular and dedicated support to all who are stressed due to this pandemic. We opened it yesterday but it was reported some users misusing the room and triggering other members. Please understand that this is not an individual struggle or a bunch of people but it is a community struggle. A challenge that the entire world experiencing right now and impacting the mental health of everyone apart from the physical conditions.

I request all to come together to support yourself and support others as well. We are an extraordinary team together.

This is our community and we can keep it safe, compassionate, respectful, supportive and friendly for each other by collaborating and putting efforts together as a team.

I know we can do this. So, help me to help yourself and everyone who is part of this community and around you.
