Hello friends ☁️

I wanted to take some time to share thoughts on something very important for keeping 7 Cups the warm, safe, and welcoming space we all enjoy: cliques and ignoring others.

It’s completely normal to feel closer to some people than others—we naturally form connections and friendships. ✨ That’s perfectly okay! But when those connections turn into exclusive cliques, leaving others out or ignoring them, it can really hurt and make people feel unwelcome. On 7 Cups, everyone—new members, longtime listeners, or anyone joining a conversation—deserves to feel seen, included, and valued.

Sometimes, ignoring happens in rooms, and it can be discouraging. 🌙 For example, someone might enter a room, say hello, and ask how everyone is—but receive no response. Later, someone else joins and immediately gets replies. Moments like this can make people feel invisible or like they don’t belong. That’s why it’s so important for all of us to pause and think about how we respond, making sure we are mindful of the presence and feelings of everyone in the room.

―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――

✧・゚:* Ways we can practice inclusivity and kindness *:・゚✧

➳ Greet everyone warmly: Even if you’re chatting with close friends, taking a moment to say “hi” or “how are you?” can make someone feel welcomed and appreciated.

➳ Be mindful of new members and listeners: Many people come here looking for support, friendship, or just someone to listen. Feeling ignored can make this safe space feel intimidating or unwelcoming.

➳ Avoid exclusiveness: It’s okay to have close friends, but cliques shouldn’t prevent anyone else from joining the conversation or feeling valued. Everyone deserves respect and attention, no matter how long they’ve been here.

➳ Remember the purpose of 7 Cups: This platform exists to provide a safe space for connection, empathy, and kindness. Every interaction we have contributes to that environment.

―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――

Inclusivity is more than just a nice idea—it’s something we practice through our actions and words every day. It’s about noticing when someone might feel left out, reaching out to them, and making sure they feel welcome. When we welcome everyone, even those we don’t know as well, we help build a community that is stronger, kinder, and more supportive for all.

Cliques and ignoring others can unintentionally create hierarchies or feelings of exclusion, but 7 Cups is meant to break those barriers. 🌈 Every person deserves a place in our community—a place where they feel safe to express themselves, to connect, and to make friends without fear of being overlooked.

Sometimes, it’s as simple as a kind word, a greeting, or a moment of attention that can completely change someone’s experience here. Even small gestures matter. They show that we see each person, value them, and respect their presence.

―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――

❀ Let’s make 7 Cups a place where no one feels invisible, excluded, or ignored. Every greeting, acknowledgment, and kind word matters. ✨ Choosing inclusivity over exclusivity, and kindness over cliques, helps ensure our community remains safe, welcoming, and supportive for everyone—no matter how long they’ve been here, or who they know.

Remember: 7 Cups is a space for empathy, connection, and friendship. Let’s all do our part to keep it that way. Together, we can make this space feel brighter, safer, and more inclusive for everyone.

Thank you so much for sharing this post on such an important topic! Inclusivity is the heartbeat of a community like 7 Cups. It’s what transforms a simple room into a safe haven where people from all walks of life can feel seen and heard without judgment. I love the reminder that inclusivity isn’t just a concept but an action we take every day when we pause to welcome a new member, when we choose empathy over assumptions, and when we celebrate the diverse voices that make our community so rich. Creating a space where everyone feels they have a 'seat at the table' takes a collective effort, and I hope we all take a page from this post next time we're out in the rooms. <3
