January Monthly Blast
Hello all! Welcome to our first monthly blast! These posts are meant to give a recap of the month's events and talk about updates and announcements for the upcoming month.
Monthly Recap:
We hit a record of 25 sessions signed up and hosted by individual hosts! Congratulations everyone, I'm so proud of all your hard work. 2022 is off to an amazing start! All hosts will be receiving cheers for the sessions they hosted shortly. To see how many cheers you earned, check out the tracking page on the TOZ dashboard!
Monthly Shoutout:
Our monthly shoutout goes to @FallenStarss for hosting 9 sessions this month! And congrats to the runner up, @29amy for hosting 7 (and back to back sessions too!). Please congratulate @FallenStarss and @29amy by replying to this post!
Reminders:
Please note that for sessions to be marked "cancelled" on the sign-up sheet, your co-host and @sophiasanae must be notified at least 48 hours in advance. If I do not receive a message about a cancellation within the timeframe, your session will be marked missed instead.
Also, please do not forget to change the status of your session! I know we are still getting adjusted to this new system, but it is super important to change the status of your session to "completed," or "missed" after your discussion's time slot has passed. This helps us make sure the tracking page is accurate. If I message you about changing the status of your session and do not hear back within a reasonable timeframe, it will be marked "missed" and you will not receive any cheers for it.
Updates:
All member daily scripts have officially been updated! Whoohoo! They have been re-formatted, updated, and the correct links have been added. The link to the member daily session scripts has been updated on the February sign-ups page of the TOZ dashboard. Icebreaker Hour and Quiz/Games Night have official scripts now, so if you're hosting these sessions, please make sure to use them!
The script for "Remembering Our Purpose" has moved to be with all the other discussion scripts. It was about time, since it is a discussion after all! You can find it on the TOZ sign-up page by clicking on "Discussion Scripts" under the "Links" column.
We are still working on updating all the discussion scripts, although this will be an ongoing project since there are so many of them! We need your help! If you see any scripts that are outdated or need to be edited, please add a comment on the Discussion Scripts sheet and note the reason why it needs to be looked out. Then message @sophiasanae.
Finally, remember that the discussion scripts do not have the correct links in the conclusion paragraphs. This is because they are old scripts!

It is now time to sign up for your discussions for the month of February! Please sign up for a minimum of 3 sessions by Wednesday 2/5/22. Just make sure you're signing up on the February sign-up tab instead of the old one from January! Remember to message @sophiasanae if you sign up for any discussions so they can be Tockified! For member daily sessions, this step is not necessary.

August Monthly Blast
Hi everyone! Thanks for all your hard work this month! As we transition back from summer, I look forward to seeing you out hosting in the group chat rooms.

A Note on Script-Writing:
We have recently created a separate role under TOZ for script-writers. This is because the script-writing team has been growing lately, and it is a separate role description and application. However, script-writers will still be considered part of the discussions team, because hosts and writers work closely with one another. If you are interested in becoming a script-writer, you can read more about it HERE.
Hosting With A Hectic Schedule:
It can be hard to be a consistent host when things get busy, which is why I wanted to dedicate a section of our monthly blast to this topic. With the back to school season, I know a lot of people have less time to spend on cups. I have this same issue! However, there are a few tips that can help you! First of all, try planning out your activities at the beginning of the month. This will give you a better idea of when you can sign up to host. Also, some hosts find it easier to have a specific time/date that they host at every week. This makes it easier to set aside an hour, since it’s always at the same time. Also, if you feel like you’re falling behind on your quota, you can always host twice in a day or host back to back sessions (if you’re up for it!).
However, always remember to prioritize yourself! If you need to take a break, reach out to @sophiasanae. Also, if you have an unpredictable schedule each month, ask about becoming an on the spot host!

one way I manage my time with a hectic schedule is to make todo list, this helps me have a visual and helps me get everything I need to do done

October Monthly Blast
It is officially spooky season everyone! I can’t wait to get fall started with a great month of hosting. After all, there’s nothing cozier than staying home with some tea and chatting on Cups!
Monthly Recap:
We have a total of 14 sessions hosted by individuals! Great work! However, there are many sessions in the last half of September that have been marked as missed because the status was never updated. If you believe this is a mistake, please change the status and message @sophiasanae as soon as possible! This way, it can be added to tracking before cheers are awarded
New Badge:
As many of you know, after a host completes their trial phase, they receive the “Host” badge. Now, this badge has been changed to “Discussion Team” to encompass script-writers, editors, hosts, and anyone that is part of Group Support! Update: The "Discussion Team" badge is just for script-writers, editors, and those helping to support discussion leaders! The "Host" badge is still in effect and will be awarded to those who have completed their trial phase. Sorry for the confusion everyone!
November Monthly Blast

Happy November everyone! This month unfortunately there is not much to report because we did not have any sessions hosted during October because many hosts were on a break! However, let's make November a season full of lively discussions in the group chat rooms! Since it is officially the holiday season, please make use of holiday themed scripts in the script library!

hey everyoneeeee! thanks for the update Sophia! nice job this month! keep up the great work everyone! im hoping to host some eating disorder and disability scripts this month, I did not realize that their is holiday scripts so I definitely will look to see which ones I want to host! *shares cookies and kiwis with everyone*
