Major Updates for the Teen Discussions Project!
Merging with TOZ
Hello everyone, hope you're doing well! I'm happy to announce we have a major change coming to TDP. As some of you may know, our project has gotten smaller recently. To remedy this, we are joining the subcommunity "Teen Only Zone" and merging our discussion teams. We will be working with the lovely @Mel and @DayDreamWithYou, the Community Mentor Leaders from TOZ. I know this is a huge change, but don't worry, many things will stay the same for now! Our forums will also stay here as well, since they are already in TOZ. This thread will be updated in the following weeks about how we will proceed. In the meantime, keep filling out the tracking form as hosting as usual!
Hosting in Different Rooms
Thanks to a wonderful suggestion by @ASilentObserver we are going to be experimenting with hosting sessions in different rooms. This is a way to increase participation in all our group chat rooms. You now have the option to host in "Support Room 24/7" and "Teen Community Room 24/7," as well any other group chats that are open. This will be especially helpful for anyone who struggles to find a doorkeeper.
This change will take place from Monday 11/15-Monday 11/29 over the duration of two weeks. After that we will ask for feedback about how the experience was. Please host at least one session in a different room from the one you normally use before 11/29. Member daily sessions, FR daily sessions, and discussions are all welcome to host in different rooms. However, just remember that if you are a discussion/member daily session host, don't host in a room that only listeners have access to like Teen Listeners!

@sophiasanae i read it! but i have a question; does that mean we'll have to log the discussions in the TOZ subcommunity dashboard? :O

Great question! In the future, we are planning on having everyone log their sessions on the TOZ dashboard under a tab specifically for discussions. Right now, we are still working on finalizing this page but it should be done soon! I will send out a post when it is. So to answer your question, no that isn't necessary right now, but it will be in the future! :)

TOZ Dashboard Update
Hello everyone! Thank you so much for being patient as I know it has been quite a while since I updated this post. @DayDreamWithYou has been working incredibly hard to update the TOZ Dashboard with a new group support section. We are planning to start using it starting January 2022, which is coming up! Everyone who is currently an active discussion host will be receiving a link to the new dashboard in their messages. If you have not received a link by 12/27, please message @sophiasanae.
Remember, this is just so you can explore the page and get used to the layout. When we officially start using it, a new post will be added to this thread to let everyone know. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions for how we can improve the dashboard, please message @DayDreamWithYou or @sophiasanae. We'd love to hear! With this new sign-up method comes changes in the way we used to do things. Instead of signing up for a set session/time/date we are going to be experimenting with having people sign up for the session of their choosing each week. This will just be on a trial basis! However, we're really looking forward to getting feedback from all the hosts in the upcoming weeks so that we can make the transition as smooth as possible.
Friendship Room Sessions Update
After speaking with @ASilentObserver we have decided to stop offering sign-ups for Friendship Room Daily Sessions due to a lack of participation and sign-ups. Instead the room will used for something else besides scheduled sessions hosted by TOZ!
