Sharing Circle Host Check-in
Hi everyone,
I would like to thank you all for your hard work in Sharing Circle. You are providing a safe space for people to share and to be supported without judgement, and it's hard to overstate the importance of that.

I would like to know:
- What is one highlight from a session that you hosted? (please do not include any share details)
- If you had a magic wand and could instantly fix one Sharing Circle problem, what would it be?

First i wanna Thank you for having me to host and help others in the sharing circle. It was an honor and pleasure to be there.
•What is one highlight from a session that you hosted?
-> love, kindness, happiness, self confidence, grace, faith, hope, miracles, and most importantly is to "let it be"♥️
•If you had a magic wand and could instantly fix one Sharing Circle problem, what would it be?
-> i would call a spell to make people talk about what's inside them to relieve and relax and also to release their pain. God bless everyone's soul! "Hugs"♥️

A highlight that always comes to mind would be the oft-repeated declarations from new Members, upon sharing, that they felt better after being able to vent their problems or worries, without judgment, or that they were amazed to find they are actually *not* the only one to feel such-and-such an emotion, or be facing XYZ problem.
A magic wand to fix a SC/HH problem: Hmm, I would say my choice would be making the banner that reads "Sharing Circle/Healthy Habits with _____" (name of current host) much more visible. I am on the desktop version of 7Cups and the banner disappears after a few minutes of entering the room. Then we wouldn't have to keep asking "who's hosting?" if we enter middle of the hour, for example.

Thanks for your answers. I agree that "you are not alone" is one of the most important messages in Sharing Circle.
Thanks for letting me know about this problem with the banner. It should be visible all the time but I have a similar problem where it disappears after a session so I can't set a new one without refreshing the page. I will submit it as a bug report as I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to disappear.
- What is one highlight from a session that you hosted?
This isn't a specific instance highlight, but the teen discussions are always the highlight of my week! They are an amazing bunch and I am honored to be able to be involved on that side!

Probably the typos in scripts.

Thanks for sharing your answers, and thank you for hosting for the teen side, it sounds like a great experience and I'm sure the teens really appreciate it (I am not on the teen side yet but hope to become an ATL soon as I keep hearing wonderful things like this :)).
Thank you for alerting me about the typos in the script. I will definitely look into this as it should be something that is relatively easy to fix.

Highlight would be when a newbie shared and everyone supported and helped them feel less alone and welcomed them into the 7 cups community :)
Magic wand to improve: for me would be to have more control to remove disrespectful/disruptive comments from the SC as they can can make everyone involved feel uncomfortable <3

I love your highlight, a great first session can make all the difference between someone becoming a long term member or leaving after their first day. Thank you for encouraging these newbies and making this a welcoming, supportive place for them.
I agree that it is frustrating not to be able to remove unsupportive comments. Do remember that being supportive is one of the chatroom rules, so if a member is not being supportive you can use the emergency mod request form or pm the community moderator on duty to come and help you out. Hopefully in the future we will have more Room Supporters and Chatroom Moderators in Sharing Circle too, to give hosts the backup they need.
@Gozzil Late to the party as usual, but I finally got around to doing this. ^_^
1. What is one highlight from a session that you hosted? (please do not include any share details)
- I shall chose a highlight that's both a problem and a highlight (if that makes sense) that's been happening a lot recently. Getting recognized by com mods for stepping in to help with de-escalating conflict / chaos when no one else is available. Com mods thanking me for stepping in once they arrive in the room. I do what I do because I want to help not because I expect appreciation for my work.
2. If you had a magic wand and could instantly fix one Sharing Circle problem, what would it be?
If I could fix one thing, I would bring more active mods and room supporters to that room. Yesterday, I've de-escalated 4 or 5 situations, and had 2 additional escalate to ER mod form. There's far too much chaos and far too little training for hosts in terms of handling conflict. I don't know if what I face is a timeslot issue or more widespread, but fix it please. Because members are getting irritated and feeling like they're getting ignored during their share. And hosted like myself are frustrated because we don't have training or power to do much in these situations.

I am seeing more informal chat going on in recent days, which is fine when no formal host is present, everyone is being nice and taking turns sharing, etc. Mods don't seem to object to this trend, and I haven't seen Room Supporters be very active to guide conversation times it becomes a free-for-all, still pleasant/supportive, but it devolves into random chatting, comments, etc. Members on phone app are complaining that the scrolling of comments is too fast for them. It then resembles the "light-hearted chat" forum. Also this trend gives people the impression they can be rude or snippy, and use workarounds to include curse words in their comments (for ex. adding a letter or symbol to their curse word to evade the system).

1. What is one highlight from a session that you hosted? (please do not include any share details) :
I would like to share that, while my hosting sessions went off peaceful, yet I think the room should be more welcoming, it felt good to host, although for once there was an medical advertisement being spammed, thankfully the mod took care of it so yeah, hopefully it'll stay peaceful and nice there. SC is special for members, it works in helping then getting their thoughts out, so we as hosts have to make sure that its welcoming and ready to listen to members.
2. If you had a magic wand and could instantly fix one Sharing Circle problem, what would it be?
As pointed out by Richuyulin, there are times when things get out of control in SC, when mods aren't able to respond fast, it gets frustrating really, what i would like to fix is place more mods, maybe special mods that stay in SC only, more room supporters to make sure the SC room is open and welcoming, if we can fix the issue of things getting out from control, then it would really be great, thinking from a member's point of view, its frustrating really, and those things are make the member not wanna share and leave, something we don't to happen, so certainly that should be a must fixed, also other members should be supportive and welcoming too in SC room.
