Plateaus

It is so common that after the first few weeks or months, you kind of hit a stand still where you make no progress even tho based on your habits you should be

I'm going through one right now too and it's very important to not give up when you hit those

Maybe change your routine or diet but dont give up

You'll start making progress again don't worry

@zealousGrace5023 I really appreciate this post and its honesty! It's totally normal that we don't make constant progress all the time. Whether it be physical or mental, it's okay to see that progress isn't linear!

@zealousGrace5023 I honestly think that it's really important we have setbacks because we will never learn from our mistakes <3

@zealousGrace5023

Plateaus are very real. I hit one with my weight-loss journey. It seemed that no matter how well I was doing with my diet (in terms of not eating too much), I would never lose the weight that I intended.

However, I just kinda told myself that if I stuck to what I was doing that I would eventually shed the pounds. And, thankfully I did. But yeah, the plateau definitely had me discouraged for awhile.

@sereneSunset26 sometimes eating too little messes with your metabolism too

so be careful you're eating enough even if you're maintaining a deficit :)

and don't forget the protein!

Good luck on the rest of your journey, hope you keep making progress and don't let the plateaus get to you :)

@zealousGrace5023

Oh, trust me - I know, haha. Doing the CICO diet for calories taught me that I personally need a baseline of at least ~1,300 calories or so on a given day.

As for protein, protein shakes have been my personal go-to for breakfast everyday for a reason. And what a difference they have made. :)
